Sorry for the late post, Margaret and I didn’t get our heads together this month! Mostly my fault. Sorry everyone.
I need to tell you that enamelling is our next Workshop. We will be looking at new techniques =drawing and shading. I hope you will come.

Lapidary Craft Classes!
Working With Polymere Clay
This Month we are going to work with Polymere Clay. Making jewelry does not only confine itself to silver and gold and gemstones. Learning how to use polymere clay can help directly with using silver clay.
Cost $10 . Polymere clay is included. We supply tools but it is always best to bring your own. Bring molds and any other relavant materials if you wish. Bring ideas you would like to try and we will see if we can work them into the lesson.
We are open Monday 24th to book in but Wednesday is Anzac Day -the club will be closed. Please ring the club for your booking however it is best to email me on campbelltownlapidary@hotmail.com

April’s Gazette and more! Belated Happy Easter
To Ron and Elaine with Sympathy
Elaine’s mother has passed away in Dubbo a few days ago after a long illness. She
lived a full 99 years, just a few weeks shy of her one hundredth
birthday.
Our thoughts are with Elaine & Ron at this time.

Open Day March 2012 There have been a couple corrections to the flyer for the OPEN DAY.

March Newsletter, flyers, open day news, thank you’s
First a big thank you to all who attended the jewelry work shop. We had 12 participate. We worked on our soldering technique and began to understand piercing (no not nose piercing silver piercing)
For our new members and our visitors. Our workshops are completely voluntary, both the teachers and the helpers. Any extra funds that may come in from the day are put right back into the classes for tools and materials.
As I wrote earlier we had a lovely day. Our next work shop is working with polymere clay. We hope you can come. If you have not finished your projest do not be afraid to ask for help from the more experienced members. I definitely will help if you wish.

Jewelry Lessons! February! Making a Bezel with a frame- come Join us
Hi everyone. Want to see how the lapidary club works? well come join us for a lesson. We are making a Bezel (thats the bit that wraps around a stone to make a pendant) and this time we are going to frame it with silver. Yes- if you ever watched the video’s on Art Jewelry or on Bead and Button Magazine sites and needed that extra hand holding we are here to help.

Please everyone, we have given our best to decide which day to have our open Day Sausage sizzle. For thos who do not know this is a day where you can come and see what the clube is about, buy hand made gifts, rocks, polished stones for jewelry, and all sorts of goodies. Then you can have a sausage sandwich for lunch! We welcome tailgaters too!
