Please everyone, we have given our best to decide which day to have our open Day Sausage sizzle. For thos who do not know this is a day where you can come and see what the clube is about, buy hand made gifts, rocks, polished stones for jewelry, and all sorts of goodies. Then you can have a sausage sandwich for lunch! We welcome tailgaters too!

Dear Members,
We have had some bad news for our older members. Harry Lions passed away Jan. 16th after a long battle with cancer. Harry and Joan were dedicated members for several years. More information can be had from Ron our president. We will miss Harry very much. Our sympathy goes to Joan and her family.
The club is now open for members as usual. The first general meeting is on February 4th. It starts at 9:30 am. Come and have your say. All members are welcome.
The newsletter will be published the first week of Feb if you are looking for it. Be sure to sign up for the Binarra trip asap (details in the last post).
Please book in for the jewelry work shop and leave a $10 deposit. We need to buy your silver. We are working on our soldering skills making a bezel cup. This class is a repeat by request. -see you there! Kathy

It has been decided to change the Committee Meetings
to the 3rd Saturday in the month to allow all the
committee to attend. The Committee are looking into
ventilation for the club and have purchased new ropes
& tent poles for the tarp. A new banner for the fence
has also been approved. We have a new soldering
station for waxwork & a new Magnifying lamp also
for waxwork & other fine work. We have also
purchased Safety glasses for Lampwork together with
a marver & specialty tweezers.
BINGARA TRIP: This trip will be approx 5 days in
Bingara from Sunday 17th April to Thursday 21st April
2012 when we leave for home. This is in the school
holidays to allow for families to attend but it is after
the Easter break (6th – 9th April). You will have to
make your own bookings & way there. For

We are going to start learning how to make Lampwork Beads! something we have always wanted to do. If you can contribute- teaching or learning please let us know!

This is a trial workshop. We will be trying for the first time to make glass beads at our club. If you wish to join in PLEASE book. Nov. 26th 2011 9:30 am start. If anyone in the club has previous experience please join in -we are looking for tutors! -Kathy
Silver Castling Lessons Friday will be an investment night. This is the first night to attend when you want to start a new silver piece. Comment here, email the club or contact Barry if you need to know more.
The Jewelry Workshop will be Saturday, the 22 of October, the forth Saturday of the month. we will be learning how to solder bezel cups. We have some open places. Please note that the public is welcome. We want to remind you that this is a Community Club and classes like this cost a lot of money. We wish to thank all of those who make this class and the Silver Casting Class possible

Open Day Sausage Sizzle Boot Sale! Next Weekend Saturday Oct 15th. Wednesday is the official clean up preparation day. All hands on deck.
Come to our Open Day. We have tailgaters that sell all sorts of trash and treasure. This is your oportunity to buy quality gems such as opals, handmade jewelry and crafts. Christmas Party will be on the 10th of December. Come for a lovely time to relax and have Christmas Dinner with each other. $15 per person.
Mistake in writing the publicity officer! Clarice is now our publicity officer. Please contact her to publish anything to do with the club! Clarise has been our secretary for many years, she is taking a long deserved step down. Thank you Clarise and lets hope you get some time to yourself!
